Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and finance operations for our client's manufacturing company. This role oversees all daily accounting functions, manages a small team, and ensures accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting functions, including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and month-end close.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and higher-level banking activities (wires, transfers, liquidity planning).
  • Partner with external CPA firm for quarterly financial reviews and year-end reporting.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a a small accounting team.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls, financial policies, and reporting processes.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and operational decision-making.
  • Ensure accuracy in inventory, costing, and manufacturing-related accounting activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statement preparation, and cash flow management.
  • Experience working with CPA firms for audits/reviews.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
